Kalandraka Music (KM Music School of Edinburgh)

Kalandraka Music, trading as KM Music School of Edinburgh, runs from the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre at 25 Palmerston Place in the West End, with a second studio in Kirkliston. Founder Darío Fernández Peteiro moved to Scotland in 2012 and has taught music in Edinburgh ever since, alongside his own production, mixing and mastering work.

DJ tuition runs beginner through advanced: a £65 2-hour Rekordbox setup workshop, structured 10-hour (£329) or 20-hour (£639) beginner courses covering beatmatching, EQing, scratching and set recording, plus intermediate and advanced options. A separate Ableton Live strand runs beginner (6 modules), intermediate (10 weeks) and advanced courses covering session and arrangement view, MIDI programming, synthesis and sound design, with single lessons also available.

The school also teaches guitar, bass, banjo and ukulele, offers a 5% student discount, and publishes a separate price list for its instrument lessons on request.
